Jonsdorf - a health resort in Zittau Mountains
The house is centrally located in Jonsdorf , a snugly place with lots of half-timbered houses right in the Zittau Mountains / Upper Lusatia. From here you can take serveral walks and excursions. As a special highlight , we recommend a trip with the local railway which is called "Bimmelbahn" ( see picture). From Jonsdorf it is an experience to take the steam train to Oybin. There you can visit the castle ruins on the mountain Oybin or the church from 1734 witch is built directly in the rocks. Your hiking Heart enjoys a hike to "Hochwald" or "Töpfer" up to Jonsdorf. You past numerous lookout points and beautiful sandstone rocks from the Cretaceous period . With the local train you can take wonderful excursions in the Zittau Mountains, that remain you securely a long time. Even your physical well-being is secure. So you can enjoy the good range of restaurants in Jonsdorf or Oybin and their typical home-style "Oberlausitz-food". See you in upper Lusatia highlands.
